Cocoa & Sweet!

Cocoa & Sweet!

Aside from being a cultural hot spot, York also has a fantastic history full of confectionary and chocolate!  But legends such as Terry’s aren’t stuck in the past, and have inspired a whole new generation of chocolate makers that are tantalising the tourists and are maintaining York’s delicious reputation.  Amazing chocolatiers and chocolate spots such a York Cocoa House, York’s Chocolate Story and now…Cocoa & Sweet!

Opening it’s doors just before Easter 2016, this stunning little shop is offering a whole new chocolate experience.  Standing right beside York Minster, you can peer through the windows for a huge selection of irresistible treats.  Head inside for a vast cornucopia of gorgeous packaging, tasty aromas and fabulous staff!

We wandered the store and enjoyed shopping for international brands such a Rococo and Maison Boissier, and even Yorkshire’s very own Guppy’s Chocolates.  Stopping only to browse the huge cabinet of decadent truffles – opting for Lemon & Gin, and Amaretto to whet the appetite.

It’s hard to believe that this store is in it’s infancy and its founder, Rachel Burton has a whole lot more exciting stuff to come!
